Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance of various subsidiary ledgers on a daily basis as well as preparation of financial statements, account analysis, and assisting in the monthly accounting close, including general ledger entry preparation.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting is required. •Minimum 4 years accounting experience, either in the public or private sector, or in a public accounting firm preferred. International Experience (LATAM) •Strong PC Skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. •Strong oral and written communication skills- English and Spanish. •Ability to multi-task. •Strong analytical skills. •Attention to detail is vital. •IFR´s •USGAAP •SAP, JD Edwards
Responsibilities:
• Assists in the monthly closing process by preparing and uploading journal entries. Analyzing reports related to month end to ensure proper booking. •Assists in the preparation of the monthly Olympus Latin America. Reporting package and management presentations by preparing financial statements and various budget vs. actual schedules so that management can analyze company performance. •Prepares various general ledger account analyses in Excel by reviewing transactions within the general ledger to ensure accurate activity within the account. •Prepares and reviews various balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of account balances. This will include reviewing inter-company reconciliations and taking any necessary actions. •Provides transaction backup and responds to questions from external auditors as required on various audit analyses. •Works closely with Group financial personnel in regards to monthly financial reports and various general ledger analysis. •Assists in the preparation of the budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans •Reviews various balance sheet reconciliations for subsidiaries in Mexico and Brazil.
