TeleTech is looking for a Translator to join the Translations Team. As a TeleTech translator you will be responsible for providing grammatically and contextually accurate and professional translations to/from source language from/to target language. You will be in charge of translating eLearning courses, internal memos, job aids, e-Newsletter articles, reports, policy documents etc., for our Portuguese speaking employee populations.
Your main responsibilities will be:
· Reading through original material and translating it into the target language
· Researching technical, scientific and legal phraseology to find the correct translation
· Consulting with experts in specialist areas
· Proofreading and editing final translated versions
· Providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text
· Delivering consistent high quality customer service
Skills and Experience required:
MUST HAVE
· Fully bi-lingual in Portuguese/English. Native Portuguese is mandatory.
· Professional translation experience in a business environment
· Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc, or ability to learn technology quickly
· Ability to respect and ensure strict confidentiality of customer data
· Strong attention to detail and desire to follow procedures
· Proactively and commitment to the quality and timelines of the deliverables
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills and teamwork orientation
PREFERRABLE
· Spanish is a plus
· Professional translation degree or certificate or in the process of obtaining a degree is preferred
· Call center industry knowledge is preferred
